Who We Are

Dr Megan Turville - Occupational Therapist PhD; B. OT (Hons); B. BSc.

Dr Megan Turville is an experienced and registered Occupational Therapist who works alongside children, young people, and their families to build independence and well-being in everyday life.

Megan holds degrees in Occupational Therapy with Honours and Behavioural Science (2006) and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) (2018) from La Trobe University, Melbourne.

She has worked in the public and private health sectors throughout her career with a focus on psychosocial and mental health care. Megan has also worked in pain management, work rehabilitation, and stroke rehabilitation.

Her clinical expertise spans childhood through to adolescence and young adulthood (up to 25 years) and includes supporting children and young people with functional gains and psychosocial well-being. She works collaboratively with families, schools, and other professionals  to ensure support is family-centred, optimised, and cohesive.

With a background in both clinical practice and research, Megan brings a thoughtful, evidence-informed, and compassionate approach to her work. Her approach is neuro-affirming, strengths-based, and recovery-orientated.

Beyond the therapy room, Megan holds sessional academic positions with La Trobe University and Monash University, where she contributes to occupational therapy research and education. Megan is a mum to three children who teach her many life lessons that ground her therapy practice.
